Burner Law Group, P.C. Celebrates 25 Years

It is with great pride that we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Burner Law Group. It is a milestone attributable to the core principles on which our firm is built: to put the client’s needs first and foremost, to give employees opportunity for growth and a work-life balance because happy employees make happy clients, and to be a trusted community resource.

Twenty-five years ago today Nancy Burner started out as a solo elder law practitioner in a small basement office. Elder law was a new practice area with relatively few estate planning attorneys paving the way forward to address the needs of our seniors. Her first employee was a paralegal whose salary was higher than her own. It was by choosing the right team members and nurturing an atmosphere of integrity and community involvement that she was able to grow the firm.

Today, Burner Law Group is a premier boutique trust and estates law firm with seven attorneys and twenty-six legal staff members spread across three office locations. We continue to expand our knowledge to bring our clients the best legal solutions available and use our voice to lobby the government for the rights of our seniors.

As a team, we have been to Paris, lobbied in Albany, attended Happiness training, and done yoga planks. We have raised children into adulthood and continue to welcome new babies into our work family. We strive for a work-life balance that empowers us to be completely present and focused for our clients. Burner Law Group has held 833 seminars across Long Island and New York City – providing information on crucial estate planning and elder law issues. During the Covid-19 shutdown we did not miss a beat – working safely together but apart – and continuing our mission of educating the public through our interactive webinars. We have donated over $100,000 to various organizations including Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Long Island Museum, Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, ALS Ride for Life, Mather Hospital, Three Village Kids Lemonade Stand, Stony Brook University, CaringKind, Katz Institute for Women’s Health at Northwell, and East End Hospice.

From our humble beginnings, we have stayed true to our roots and founding principles. We look forward to serving our clients with the utmost integrity and compassion in the next quarter of a
century. We share this time of celebration with our clients, friends and family, who have been with us each step of the way. We could not have done it without you.
