We are proud to announce that Matthew Kiernan, Esq., Counsel at Burner Prudenti Law, was honored as a 2025 Top Lawyer of Long Island by RichnerLIVE Events and the Long Island Herald! He was recognized for his achievements as a trusts and estates lawyer.

Award recipients were honored at the 6th Annual LI Herald Top Lawyers of Long Island Awards Gala on April 8, 2025. The awards banquet took place at The Heritage Club at Bethpage in Farmingdale. The complete list of honorees can be found here.

This award is one of many professional achievements in Matthew’s impressive legal career. In addition to his work at the Firm, he serves as co-chair of the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Surrogate’s Court Committee. Prior to joining Burner Prudenti Law as Counsel, he served as Public Administrator for the County of Suffolk—a position he held twice. Before that, he held many positions at Hofstra University, including Associate Dean of Academic Operations. His distinguished career also includes his role as Special Counsel to the Chief Administrative Judge of the State of New York, as well as numerous other positions in private practice, public service, the courts, and academia.
